Cristina Mittermeier – Series Editor and President

The tradition of the CEMEX Conservation Book Series dates back to 1993 when the series was created under the leadership of Patricio Robles Gil, President of Agrupación Sierra Madre, in Mexico. With the support of CEMEX Agrupación Sierra Madre remained the publisher of the series until 2007, when the publishing responsibilities were transferred to the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP).

Under the leadership of Cristina Mittermeier, the publication of the CEMEX Conservation Book Series continued with a new title every year until 2011.
